I decided to run for mayor of Hopkinsville because I know our challenges can be solved if we start acting like the true commonwealth we are, rather than masking ourselves behind political parties. What ignited my campaign is a deep commitment to the common good of the people and the future of our home. By focusing on real collaboration, sharing resources, and focusing on preservation, we can move forward as a city. I am ready to do the hard work of bringing people together to build a brighter, stronger future for Hopkinsville.
• Fund and strengthen resources for local nonprofits. • Expand mentoring, workforce readiness, and small-business apprenticeships. • Support organizations already protecting and preparing our youth, without adding red tape.
• Require a report of every traffic and pedestrian stop: reason, demographics and outcome, regardless of charges or citation. • Independently review the data to identify and correct unjustified patterns early. • Invest in safety resources that thrive independently of police.
• Address the shortage of more than 3,100 housing units. • Streamline permits, review outdated zoning, and update land surveys. • Encourage affordable and workforce housing development without new taxes.
• Spotlight registered local businesses through events and social media platforms. • Grow local businesses that start here and spread Hopkinsville’s success. • Create a Small Business Grant database.
• Prioritize road maintenance in all neighborhoods. • Address and fix current stormwater drainage issues • Close sidewalk gaps so residents can safely reach work & services. • Treat accessible sidewalks, lighting, and safe crossings as public safety essentials.
• Form resource-sharing partnerships before the next emergency. • Coordinate with local farmers, Amish and Hispanic communities, Fort Campbell and fiscal court. • Pool resources to reduce duplicated costs and respond faster to severe weather.
• Welcome growth while protecting Hopkinsville families, water, energy & the environment. • Require binding protections for water use, recycling and safe disposal. • Make any major deviation transparent through an open public forum.
• Fix downtown’s essential infrastructure before funding flashy new projects. • Improve accessible parking, safe crosswalks, and sidewalks for elders and families. • Strengthen existing businesses so new enterprises can thrive naturally.
